Share: News From Europe

Europe47 countries and territories. 22,978,500 square kilometers (74% of this area is in the Russian Federation). 269 indigenous languages.

Europe is the most urbanized continent in the world, with 74% of its population living in cities. Affluence, combined with a low birthrate, has made Western Europe a very attractive destination for immigrants from Eastern Europe, Africa, and Asia.

Europe is also the least evangelical region in the world, with only 2.4% of its population being evangelical believers. And yet, the number of European evangelicals is growing, albeit slowly. The Roma people group in France, Spain, the United Kingdom and Central Europe, the Bulgarian Muslim Millet, and Albanians have been especially receptive to the gospel (Johnstone, Patrick and Mandryk, Jason. 2005. Operation World, 21st Century Edition. Milton Keynes, United Kingdom: Authentic Lifestyle).

Now, thanks to modern technology, we have a unique opportunity to create a collaborative record of God's work in Europe.

Together, let's trust the Lord for great things in Europe. "All the ends of the earth will remember and turn to the Lord. And all the families of the nations will worship before You." Psalm 22:27).

Our hope is that this section of our website will become a venue where long-term missionaries, short-term missions teams, missions agencies, missions pastors, and believers with a heart for world missions can gather and discuss God's plan and desires for the peoples of Europe, encourage one another, share stories and prayer requests, etc. If you have a story or prayer request about Europe that you would like to share, please select a country from the Destinations menu at right. Each country-specific page will give you an opportunity to share your own story or prayer request with the other members and visitors to this website.

You must be a registered member of our site to submit a news story or prayer request, but don't worry — registration is free!

News from romaniaromania
We have actively partnered with a visionary organization named Caminul Felix to make a difference in the name of Christ in the lives of orphaned and abandoned children of Romania since 2000.  Caminul Felix is home to 250 children being raised in homes with house parents that are believers that have commited themselves to raise a generation of children at a time.  Very Cool!!  We have watched the lives of these children change from being listless and lethargic in the state orphanages and hospitals to joyful and secure children that appear as normal as any other.

About the Author:
We have been married over 25 years with three children, the youngest will be a senior this next year. My wife works for Assist International, a humanitarian organization founded by former pastors in Santa Cruz, California, serving orphaned children and providing medical relief around the world. I have been licensed as a Marriage Family Child therapist since 1989. I have become the executive director of Hand in Hand Foundation where our mission is to rescue our own abandoned children from our social service system into recruited Christian families for permanence in life and for eternity. In 1999, My wife and I were invited to go to Romania to work with an orphanage named Caminul Felix, which translated means Happy Home. Our life course has been changed ever since by what God is doing through our obedience to him. It is a family blessing as all of our children have participated in numerous trips along side us and on thier own with other mission projects. Our other travels came with the tsunami of 2004 to Sri Lanka where we came alongside Asiana Educational Development through the efforts and donated resources of Assist International. Once again we found an organization that has been committed to changing the lives of marginalized children.

My very own “Terminal” movie

News from unitedkingdomunitedkingdom

Well, I never saw the movie, but now I know what Tom Hanks character in “Terminal” must have felt like.

I was in route this week to Scotland with Walking On Water to do some showings of the Noah’s Arc movie and be a part in some skate park outreaches.  I was delayed 2 nights in a row in Chicago and then missed with my group in Scotland.

About the Author:
Growing up in Kitty Hawk, North Carolina, Matt Beacham's wave-riding father first inspired his love of surfing, pushing him into his first wave at age seven. Matt soon made his mark and is hailed as one of the standouts on the East Coast surf scene that has produced so many top professionals. His powerful, explosive surfing skills have been highlighted in many surf videos, including Noah's Arc, The Outsiders, and The Foundation Project. Even though he has had a great deal of success as a professional surfer, his relationship with Christ is the most important thing in his life. Through his surfing, Matt has the opportunity to travel the world and often uses his surfing as a platform to share Christ in far flung places around the world. Matt and his wife Lily, a professional model, are both actively involved in Walking On Water and Love Mercy. Matt surfs for Truth Soul Armor.
